John joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in November of 2014 and brings over 25 years of banking and investment experience. He was named President of the firm on July 1, 2022.
He came to Trubee Wealth Advisors from HSBC Private Bank where John was a Senior Vice President and was responsible for the bank’s Upstate New York Investment Management Group. He was a voting member of HSBC’s U.S. Investment Policy Committee and managed portfolios for high net worth and not-for profit clients. John works with his clients to develop a specific investment policy that is tailored to their needs and goals.
Before joining HSBC Private Bank, John was a portfolio manager and research analyst with Elias Asset Management for over six years. He started his career in banking as a commercial lender and moved on to positions that included assessing risk in the bank’s commercial loan portfolios as well as asset-liability management.
John is a native of Western New York. John holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Canisius College with majors in Economics and History and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is also a Certified Financial Planner®.
He is a past President of the CFA Society of Buffalo. He served on the Board of Directors and is a member of the CFA Institute. He also served on the Board of Directors for the School of Management Alumni Association for the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a past board member of the Buffalo Area Aquatic Club.
John and his wife Christina live in Williamsville with their daughters Lauren and Jessica.
Jeffrey A. Bowen joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in July of 1984, and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Graduating from the University of Buffalo in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business, Jeff has spent his entire career in the financial service industry — having worked at Hugh Johnson & Co. and Merrill Lynch before joining the Firm. His experience and expertise have allowed him to develop conservative option strategies as a significant part of his business.
As well as being licensed as a Registered Options Principal (Series 4), his focus is preserving and growing wealth. His other licenses include: General Securities Series 7, State Registration Series 63, and Investment Advisor Series 66.
Jeff is a native of Western New York and currently resides in Lancaster with his wife and two children. Not just an avid gardener, he has a sincere appreciation for the merits of fishing and golfing.
William J. Bredenberg joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in 1986 as a Financial Advisor, and is a Vice President.
A graduate of Hobart College, Bill has been an investment advisor in the Buffalo area since 1972. He focuses on determining and establishing workable financial strategies for his clients; of primary concern are wealth building, retirement planning and ease of estate transitions.
Bill holds the following industry-related licenses: General Securities — Series 7, General Securities Principal — Series 24, Uniform State — Series 63 and Investment Advisor — Series 65 licenses, Series 9/10, as well as Life, Health and Variable Annuities licenses.
Bill is an avid sailor and previously served as Commodore of the Buffalo Yacht Club. He is a past-President of the Bond Club of Buffalo, past-President of the Rotary club of Hamburg, former member of the Firm’s Board of Directors, former Secretary to the Firm’s Board of Directors, and former Treasurer at the South Wales’ GOW School.
During the winter months, Bill is an equally-as-avid skier and can be found on the hills of Holiday Valley with his wife, Barbara. They reside in Hamburg with their beloved dog, Hinkley, and take every opportunity to make their way to the Western United States to visit their adult daughters: Molly and Kary.
Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the US Army in 1962, Tony enrolled at the University of Buffalo and pursued the studies of economics, finance and business law.
Tony joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in April 1966 and was licensed as a financial advisor shortly thereafter. After 42 years with Trubee, Tony is a Vice-President and acts as the Firm Secretary. In addition, he also coordinates the Firm’s mutual funds and insurance product business, as well as syndicate investment matters. Tony holds his General Securities Series 7, General Securities Principal Series 24, Uniform State Series 63 and Investment Advisor Series 65 licenses, as well as Life, Health and Variable Annuities licenses.
To further the Firm’s productivity and resourcefulness, he regularly coordinates Firm-wide research meetings to encourage idea development and sharing.
Tony takes pride in the fact many of his earliest clients continue to conduct their investment business with him. As a true compliment, many of their relatives have also established accounts with him. Tony recognizes the importance of structuring investment strategies to meet each client’s personal goals — he strives to conduct his business relationships this way.
Trubee Wealth Advisors is one of the earliest members of the Buffalo Executive Association (Executive Business Networking In The Buffalo — Niagara Region Of WNY), having joined in 1943. Tony is the primary representative for the Firm and served as Director in 1987 and 1992; he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Graycliff Conservancy from 2002 to 2004 as well as Recording Secretary of the Western New York Audubon Society during the late ‘80s.
When not involved in the financial side of life, Tony splits his time between the Porsche Club of Western NY and the time-honored Buffalo Club — while still finding time to act as group leader for the Western New York Paget’s Disease Support Group. He resides in Derby, New York and attends St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Charles E. Gelo joined the team at Trubee Wealth Advisors, Inc. in 2009 with more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. He graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979. Charlie, currently a member of the Financial Planning Counselors of Western New York, holds General Securities Series 7, Managed Futures Series 31 and Uniform Investor Advisor Series 65 as well as Life, Health and Variable Annuities licenses.
Charlie believes that the cornerstone of financial planning is the recognition that everyone’s economic and life situation are unique. As a Financial Advisor, he is dedicated to learning about his client’s personal goals and objectives. Together, Charlie and his clients create, implement and monitor a financial plan focused on their specific needs.

William R. Pictor has over forty years of experience in the retail investment business. He began his brokerage career in 1978 with Merrill Lynch in New York City and then Buffalo, New York. After joining Trubee Wealth Advisors as a partner in 1986 he was elected President of the firm in 1999.
Bill has been an active member of the securities industry for the past fourteen years and served as Chairman of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Small Firms Committee in 2007 and 2008.
Bill and his wife reside in East Aurora and have two children. Bill is actively involved in community youth, civic, cultural and religious organizations..
Tom moved his investment advisory practice to Trubee Wealth Advisors in April 2009. He became a partner in the firm shortly thereafter.
A native of the Southern Tier, Tom received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University in 1980. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as Life, Health and variable annuity insurance licenses. He attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation in 1997.
Beginning his investment career with Merrill Lynch in 1981, Tom now has over thirty years experience assisting clients as they navigate through the volatility of financial markets and their life events. He believes this can only happen by a thorough understanding of his clients’ needs and thereby meeting their individual goals. Recognizing there is risk at every turn, he is committed to a financial plan that emphasizes customized asset diversification, income planning, and asset protection.
Tom resides in Lancaster and when not running or cycling, he enjoys reading and listening to music. He has two daughters, Christine and Melissa.
Tom Vossler joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in 1983, attaining Partner status in 1997.
Tom’s clientele is primarily comprised of retail business with investments in both the equity and bond markets. A significant portion of his business is devoted to retirement plan asset management including Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plans. Tom’s investment style can only be characterized as a “Graham & Dodd” style, emphasizing “value” with a dividend!
As a long-time City of Buffalo resident, Tom is active in the community and currently resides in the Central Park area of the city. Tom and his wife, Lori, share their home with their three daughters and a Great Pyrenees dog, Kirby. When Tom is not busy being involved with Buffalo Politics you can find him either running local marathons or skiing the slopes in Ellicottville.
Michael F. Sheets has been in the investment business for the past three decades and is uniquely qualified in the management of endowments and foundations.

His extensive experience is combined with a dedication to continued education in complex investment disciplines. Michael earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst certification from The Wharton School in 1998.
“The disciplines that define an Investment Management Analyst enable a consultant to simplify complex investment problems and design appropriate programs with fiduciary standards that offer the best likelihood of positive results in perpetuity. I say ‘in perpetuity’ because appropriate investment policy for endowments and foundations seeks asset management that lasts forever. Designing these types of investment programs is what Certified Investment Management Analysts do.”
Michael began his career with Kidder Peabody and Company in 1981. He became an Assistant Vice-President in 1983. At Kidder, Michael was part of a group that was the first to recognize the special needs of endowments and foundations and designed some of the very first programs based on new and innovative analytic techniques to address those needs.
Michael joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in 1988 after Kidder Peabody was acquired by General Electric. He was named Chief Financial Officer of Trubee Wealth Advisors in 1998.
Michael holds the following licenses: General Securities — Series 7, Financial and Operations Principal — Series 27, Uniform State — Series 63 and Registered Investment Advisor — Series 65, and Certified Investment Management Analyst CIMA®.
Anne joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in 2017. She leverages over 20 years in the financial services industry to provide proven investment strategies tailored for her clients.
Anne graduated from Canisius College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. She earned her Master in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Anne holds the General Securities Series 7, Series 66 Investment Advisor and State licenses, as well as Life, Health and Variable Annuities licenses.
She is active in the community and enjoys time with her sons, William and Alex.
Matt provides comprehensive investment advice to individuals and organizations with a focus on assisting those clients achieve their unique and personal financial goals.
Matt’s history with Trubee Wealth Advisors began in high school through the Iroquois High School Business Academy. Through his high school internship at Trubee Wealth Advisors, he developed a keen interest in the securities markets.
Following this experience, Matt pursued a degree in finance at Canisius College. He further developed an understanding of investments as a member of the Canisius Golden Griffin Fund, an investment management curriculum in which student-analysts actively manage part of the college’s endowment funds through stock investments.
Matt graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. After spending six years as an analyst and portfolio manager in the commercial real estate industry, Matt joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in November of 2018.

Nick joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in July of 2019 and brings nearly 15 years of financial advisory and investment experience.
He came to Trubee Wealth Advisors from a family owned financial planning practice where Nick was a principal and responsible for the creation and implementation of countless Retirement Plans over the years. Additionally, he served on the Investment Committee. Nick works with his clients to develop a specific investment policy and financial plan that is tailored to their needs and goals.
Nick started in the industry with one of the largest financial planning firms in Buffalo. Before that, Nick attended Albany Law school which is where he met his wife, Elizabeth.
Nick and Elizabeth reside in Buffalo with their little daughter, Vivienne.
Nick’s hobbies are directly at odds with Elizabeth’s plans for his spare time.
Harry joined Trubee Wealth Advisors in the summer of 2020 bringing 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. He held previous roles with Wilmington Advisors at M&T Bank and with Equitable Advisors.
Harry graduated from John Carroll University in 2011 with a degree in finance. He graduated with his MBA from the University of Buffalo in 2020. He holds the following licenses: General Securities-Series 7, Uniform State- Series 63, Registered Investment Advisor- Series 65, and the Life, Health and Variable Annuities licenses.
Outside of work he volunteers with local organizations including SABAH Inc., The Bison Fund, and the Big Brothers program of Erie County. He also sits on the President’s Council of The Bison Fund and founded the Young Professionals Board of SABAH.
Harry is a native of the Western New York Area. He and his wife Sarah live in the North Buffalo area with their daughter Emma and dog Penny.
